I've witten a multilanguage application using VS2005 (ita) and C#.
Now i need to create localized setups for that application.
The problem is that i would like to redistribute the .Net Framework 2.0 and MDAC... both localized, of couse.
When i change my setup project language to spanish (for instance) and try to build all, VS give me two warnings: it's unable to find the localized version of .Net Framework and MDAC for spanish and it uses the italian version!
How can i solve this
I tried to manually add language specific packages to VS but it doesn't work very well...
Any suggestions
Thanks in advance to you all...

Ok... maybe i found a solution for the Net Framework part of the problem: i downloaded and installed the .Net Framework SDK in different languages. After that i found the localized version of the packages inside the SDK's installation folder.
I simply copied them into my VS .Net Framework packages folder and it worked fine: no more warning messages for localized setups...
...but just for .Net Framework!!!
The problem is not solved for MDAC: what is impossible to me is to get some required files needed to manually build localized versions of MDAC packages...
...but i had an idea!!! ;-)
If you have a foreign VS2005 version (for "foreign" i mean: not italian) you can access this folder:
[Program files]\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\BootStrapper\Packages\MDAC28\[language]
and copy and paste the complete contents for these 2 files:
eula.txt
package.xml
This will help a lot to create manually built packages for MDAC.
I hope this won't break any rules... or please tell me and excuse me!!!

PS I need those files for the following languages:
English
French
German
Spanish

Really nobody wants to help me
I think this could be a quite common problem...

Your strategy of copying the MDAC binaries to the folders under Bootstrapper\Packages\MDAC28\<lang> and also updating the bootstrapper XML files is the right way of adding packages to the list so that the bootstrapper will be able to install them for you. I'd also suggest checking out the following resources for more information about this scenario:

Thanks Aaron!
I found the Manifest Generator was very useful, especially to get the public key.
Now i'm able to modify a standard MDAC product manifest, to create a localized package and to make it work with VS 2005.
Great!
The only thing left is a localized version of eula.txt and error messages but this is not so important...
Thanks again...
