    - can t fill an arraylist with arrays i declare my arraylist, then i try to fill it with arrays. so each item of my arraylist will be an array itself. But it seems that when i invoke the myArrayList.Add method, it replaces the previous (items) with the current one i am trying to add, and all the items of my array list are the same equal to the current array i am trying to add.     - i need help your suggestion seem to make sense, actually i have 2 datagrids for the separate tables on a single form. As i am still a novies i dont really know how to go by this things. If installed on a MSCS system the inital request is completed, but all subsequent requests end with connection refused. The server application is using a windows service with a singleton server side activation.     - Giving IIS user credentials for authentication I have a question. I know you can configure IIS to disable anonymous access. When you do this, anytime you make a new request to the IIS machine, you're prompted a dialog box which asks for your username and password. Upon authentication, you are then allowed access to the resource you were trying to access. I want to leverage this, but instead of having the machine prompt the user with a dialog, I just want to create a login page so that the user can provide their credentials, then let IIS authenticate the user with the provide credentials.     - RSS 2.0 Standards Question I've created an RSS feed for my company to publish a daily health tip Monday-Friday. For the sake of simplicity, when I create the feed I go to the database and pull the latest tip available. On Saturday's and Sunday's, this means that the tip published on Friday is pulled again. I was aware of this happening from the get-go, so I added the skipDays tag to my feed as specified by the RSS 2.0 standards assuming that readers would then know to skip loading the feed for those days. Unfortunately, when I view the feed on some common reader's, Friday's article appears 3 times on a Sunday. I know I'm going to have to go and revisit the way the feed is being generated (since the reader's that are causing this issue are some rather larger players, including Yahoo and RSSOwl), but I'm curious to know if I'm misusing the skipDays tag, or if this is something that these readers should be able to handle Have I misunderstood the intended use of the skipDays tag Any input would be appreciated.     - Bluetooth on PC After surfing the web for 3 days fulltime I only find bluetooth samples for Mobile applications. I noticed that finding "Bluetooth Stack" gets me to more PC based BT info, but nowhere I can't find what i need: I want to talk Bluetooth between PC and Mobile, the Mobile part will be probally MIDP cause it's a bigger spectrum of users.     - Extra space on right side and bottom of a DataGridView Greetings, I'm trying to display the status of a set of "resource managers" (imagine a set of heaps). Each column of my display is a different manager, and the 'rows' are different sizes in each column, and represent the "allocated" or "free" status of that region in the manager. the following demo program shows my problem: I can't seem to get just one column in a DGV: the layout always includes some extra space at the right and bottom. I've made this area RED. I'm convinced its part of the DGV., and not part of the table or panel forms. I believe I need the DGV's to AutoSize, so that the columns of the table are full length. This allows the outer panel to do the scrolling of all columns in parallel. I have tried to clip the DGV to the bounding rectangle of the column, but I've not been able to coax the appropriate size from the column. In summary, I need some Visine to get the red out.     - Versioning problem with strongly named asemblies Following up on Mike's advice, I found this reference: How the Runtime Locates Assemblies http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa720133(VS.71,d=printer).aspx which provides lots of useful links. We should all read this before we write a single line of CSharp code. The last line of this page is: Note There is no version checking for assemblies without strong names, nor does the runtime check in the global assembly cache for assemblies without strong names. I also discovered another item. Visual Studio 2005 creates applications with this default assembly version in the AssmeblyInfo.cs file: [assembly: AssemblyVersion ( "1.0.*" )] which means that the version changes with every compilation. I can fix some of my problems just by changing this to: [assembly: AssemblyVersion ( "1.0.0.0" )] which prevents the compiler from updating the version number without my consent. I stumbled on this when I noticed that some of my Reports had odd versions (e.g. 1.0.282.27845) but the version numbers for other reports never changed and were stuck at "1.0.0.0". Now to find a way to allow any Report to refer to a base or newer version of the Launcher and a base or newer version of Middleware. k, so first of all i am a computer dummy, plz all info as basic as possible....so i deleted some chat logs through my history folder in my documents. one chat log i wanted to keep which i thought i did since it says i still have it but when i try to open it, it says: "Error loading stylesheet:null" in firefox and in IE it says error in loading XML in XSL file or something like that. i read somewhere to import the file to firefox that it should work then which i did but now i can't get it back to IE. i know the logs were working b4 i deleted them.
plz someone help...this chat log is so important to me!!!

You may always open the chat log xml with notepad. As Xml is human readable you will have a chance to recover it to a state you want without any knowledge of programming...

sorry for my computer ignorance, but when i opened it in notepad it's there, but difficult to read. how can i make it human readable what did i do wrong by deleting all those other chat logs i don't understand why this one is affected.

Just curious what do you mean by human readable It's possible that if all the tags are getting squashed into one line the viewing problem could be fixed by opening it in word-pad instead.

XML is human readable but not very convenient for most humans.

You can open it in the Internet Explorer instead of Notepad. There are plenty of tools that help you read reformat XML -- Visual Studio is one of them.

Content of the file is problem of MSN Messenger and you may ask such questions in forums related to it.
