I was wondering if anyone know if the 1.0 and 2.0 versions of the .Net Framework can coexist at the same time.

We have an old application which uses the 1.0 and we are planning on developing a new application in the 2.0 version.

Thanks,

Ed

Not sure what you mean by that. They can coexist on the same machine and you can have some applications run on 1.0 (or 1.1) and others on 2.0. You can define this in the app.config file.

However, in the same process you can only have one of them. So if you are developing addings for example, all of them get the latest version by default.

Hope this answers your questions.
