You need to develop a IIS ISAPI Filter, to intercept the authentication event and show your custom form instead of the dialog box shown by IIS. I think there is an implementation of this filter in the IIS SDK, just try to look for it on google.     - RSS 2.0 Standards Question AndreT, In order to KISS, I think depending on skipDays is not good. Why Because even though you implement the skipDays correctly, the reader may not understand what skipDays mean, (there are many many RSS readers on the web and most of them support very basic rss tags) and if you depend your functionality on skipDays, it may not work. The dynamic page that creates the rss should have a guid property at each item that uniquely identifies that item in order not to confuse the audience. If two items have different guids, then they will be considered as different. And as a common sense, do not add any new items to your RSS feed on Saturday and Sunday. You generally would like to include last 10-15 items on your rss, not the most recent one. The reader will identify and discard the duplicate ones, but if the user didn't sync for 3 days, he/she would have a chance to catchup as there are some history on the RSS (last 10 days)... It's not really important for your users not to request updates on Saturday and Sunday, each RSS reader generally requests if there is any update per 15 mins, unless specified at the header (TTL field) of the rss (again this may not be implemented on the reader). The amount of data transferred at RSS generally should be small (don't put the whole article, just include a simple abstract and a link to article. If you want to update your rows to the database, call your tableadapter's Update method. This method will call AcceptChanges on your rows if the rows get successfully updated to the database. When interacting with PeerContacts, one needs to get their data before accessing the properties. This is done to reduce network roundtrips to peers. You have two options to get their data: either call PeerContact.RefreshData or Subscribe to the peercontact. RefreshData Method When this method is called a network operation is started to download the peers’ application, object and presence data. The data downloaded is then stored in a cache which is accessed by the GetApplications method, GetObjects method and PresenceInfo property (also used by IsOnline). This method only needs to be used if the caller is not subscribed to the peer. If you are subscribed updated data is automatically sent to the peer. Subscribe Method: Subscribes the calling peer to the collaboration events of the peer identified by the PeerContact instance. This method must be called before any of the peer collaboration events will fire for this peer. That is, this method signals that the calling peer wishes to watch the application, object and presence events of the peer identified by the peercontact instance. Events on the PeerContact, ContactManager, PeerApplication and PeerObject class will not fire for the peer identified by this instance until this method is called. This method may block as it may create a network connection with the peer to monitor its events. Once you have subscribed to a peercontact there is no need to call refreshdata( ). In addition, the remote peer must have you in their contactmanager and have set the PeerContact.SubscribeAllowed = true on the peercontact instance representing the peercontact attempting the subscribe operation (ie. a two way trust relationship). It is better to tie one's self to a specific version and guarantee backward compatibility then assume that you can always maintain backward compatibility. Therefore I think the current behavior is really what you want. Why do you really need the assemblies strongly named anyway If you really want to use strongly named assemblies but you don't want to tie yourself to a specific version then you have to override the binding rules of the loader. To do this you can either add an entry to each application's config file telling it to use a newer version ( bindingRedirect I believe) or you can create a publisher policy file that redirects everybody to the newer version. While it is possible to use the identity that is flowed to test for membership in a group (as we are doing,) access to local resources (CAS) is being controled by the context of the user that started the server. Further I found that if you want the flowed identity to be impersonated, and thus be used for CAS, then you can explicitly call the Impersonate() method on the flowed identity object. This will return a WindowsImpersonationContext which has an Undo() method to revert to the previous user for CAS. Therefor it probably is not appropriate to set the Thread.CurrentPrincipal in this way, rather it is not required. Is your COM component capable of running isolated It might be loading files or DLLs relative from its install location. Hard to tell, you provided no diagnostics beyond "it didn't work".
