    - Access to the path 'Global\.net clr networking' is denied xiltoos and jpodtbc, .Net assemblies are run under Common Language Runtime which ensures that nothing nasty is going on onto your computer when running an application under it. In other words it takes care of Security. It ensures that no application with limited trust can have any link with our side world (The internet). I'm talking about the application which doesnot have enough permissions. Same is the case when an application is run from Network Share on a LAN or some application which has been downloaded from internet and trying to run from Temporary internet files. I would recomend you apply strong name to your applications and then use Caspol.exe to give permissions to it. You'lll have to do a little experiment on this.     - LAN Search Ofcourse as suggested by Nobugs, loop through all the IPAddresses available on the LAN and try to connect to each computer, if an exception is raised then go to the next otherwise you have already found the server . Note: To optimize the process and get ala computer avaialble on LAN, you can P/Invoke NetApi32.dll and build a list of all computers currently up then you can try connecting only those Computers instead of an IP Range and save the time in doing this because not all computers may be up and running all the time.     - error when running application This was a major help in trying to get my Media Center to work again. Media Center works after I fixed the Framework but I still wasn't able to play any DVD or CD. The reason I wanted to use my Media Center was to play DVD, but I wasn't able to manually open the DVD. The reason turn out to be an error (Code 39) which was created when I download and then uninstalled DVD/CD burning softwares. Just download and run the Guided Help and it fixed everything: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 I'm so glad I have my DVD/CD players back again. I hope this helps anyone with the same problems. Before Delete, try to debug to see whether bound datasource has got that newly added row. 3. The error I get is: Error: The /sharetypes switch cannot be used with a WSDL contract or an XSD schema, please use collection of urls and .discomap documents. Alas, back to square one. Basically, I need .NET Framework 1.1 for a game but I have problems installing it on Vista. Registering System.EnterpriseServices.dll always register this problem:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0xdf0 (3568), Thread id=0xa28 (2600)

and then generates a similar problem after this.
