I want to use a library that doesn't come with the .NET framework. I have downloaded a .DLL file and some other files that are supposed to contain the library I want to use. How do I add this library (to my .NET package ) so that I can use it in my code

Two case :

1- You dll is not developped with .Net. So it must be registred in the registry with regsvr32 command. Then in Visual studio select Add reference / COM / your dll file.

2- Your dll is developped with .Net. You have just to select Add reference/Browse to ure dll path.
