Looks like the new VE6 Api has brought you some nice new bugs.

I found the following ones:

1. Javascript exceptions in 3d mode when using Birdseye view

2. Custom Tile Layers are not displayed in 3d

3. maps.live collections cant be displayed

4. Infoboxes sometimes appear at the wrong position

A bug report has been made for number 4 on your list.

Number 3 on your list is a known issue that is planned to be resolved when they finish adding in the rest of the features of VE6.

As for number 2, can you post some sample code to reproduce or point me to a link that has code that produces this so that I can further investigate.

As for number 1, I was not able to reproduce any javascript exceptions. Do you have the latest 3D addon

Both birdseye and tiles in 3D are working fine on the interactive SDK.

Is it particular tiles (jpgs/gif/png)

John.

Re: VE6 Bugs

Although the iSDK works fine I am getting a javascript error "Error: 's' is undefined" when navigating birdseye images in 3D mode. It seems to be the function "$VE_A.Log3DOblique()"

By the way the V5 jaavscript with carrage returns instaed of semi-colons was a much better idea for compact javascript, it is a pain to debug with everything on one line.

John.

the dashboard is showing up incorrectly on my maps (ie7 and ff2)...see image in link below

Incorrectly displayed dashboard

I've seen this before the issue ended being with the css style.

They had the following line in their css:

body { font-size: 11px; }

It ended up that font-size is used by the dash board.

In any case I would suggest looking into your css.

Thought I would jump in here since I have noticed the same problem for number 2 (custom tile server in 3d).

I had set up a custom tile server with 3 servers using the %2 variable in the tile source specification path.

Using a net traffic monitor, I could see that when VE is in 3d, instead of calling tileservers 0,1,2 it was calling seeminly random numbers (633,2323,3563, etc) and therefore the tiles were returning blank. It works if I changed it back to only one server without the %2 variable added to the tile source path.

Hope that helps.

Marc

Thanks for providing the details. I'm able to repro the tile problem in 3D. Bug has been reported.

Problem only happens when you have more then 1 tile server. For now, the workaround would be not to have more than 1 tile server. Sorry for the inconvenient. Thanks

Re: VE6 Bugs

Derrick (MSFT)

Unforunately, the support for mutiple tile servers in 3D won't be fixed in an update. The API SDK will be updated to say that 3D does not supported mutiple tile servers(i.e %2 parameter). This feature for 3D might be added in future release. However, v4-v6 won't support it. Sorry for the inconvenient.

A workaround would be to have 2 different url for 2D and 3D. With the 3D not having %2 parameter. When users switch to 3D, (using the oninitmode event), you can remove and add the correct tile source.
