Hi Riaan,

The current user's LiveID / contact info is the first item in the contact list. You can get that info if the user selects that item and submits it to your host page. Beyond that, the relationship between the end user and your page is annonymous.

Danny,

This would be a really good feature that would open up many new oppotunities but i guess it crosses into what liveID is supposed to do when ever they finnaly release a web version.

The issue is one of security, if when a user first visits the page I ask them to select themselves and send that to my page there is nothing stoping them from selecting someone else in their list.

The thing is I don't need their personel information, I just need a unique identifier when they sign in. Based on this they can be authenticated in my site and I can show their custom settings / data. From there the possiblitlies are endless, if the unique identifier was part of what could be sent when you submit other contacts I could impiment a simple share with friends site so when they sign in they can view specific shared data also.

John.

Yes, what you are asking for is definitely in the realm of the LiveID service. The web API they're working on is designed to provide exactly that.

Thanks for the feedback!
