- Draggable Pushpins Hi, I want to put a pushpin on the map. And this pushpin should be draggable. So that when user drag this pushpin, its shows the longitude & latitude of that point & as the pushpin drags from one point to another, respected longitude & latidude value get visible. - MSN Adcenter API Errors I realize the API is still young, but the MSN Adcenter API errors out and/or lags behind much more frequently then Google or Yahoo. Also, for us larger advertisers, having to call each account individually rather then being able to pull reports for an entire portfolio can cause further programming headaches. - Using Live ID Authentication and User credentials Information ? It is currently not possible to alter the Live ID authentication page in any way. There is no way of adding stylesheets or custom branding. Custom branding is limited to RPS-customers (that is a sort of premium SDK, which will cost you big bucks), and stylesheets would allow you to remove/replace key elements of the Live ID-page, such as the "this site is not affiliated with Microsoft"-notice. A possible solution to Flash/Silverlight is opening a new window in which you authenticate your users, then make a custom handler that uses Javascript to communicate between windows (with parent.opener)... it is a bit tricky but it should do the trick. - This is so frusterating! Okay, this is beginning to really frusterate me. I have the newest version of MSN, Windows Live Messenger (Plus), and I have had this problem for a little while now. Where it displays my contact names, instead of showing what my contacts wrote as their MSN names, it is showing the nickname I chose for them. - Is it possible to find places without adding pushpins? First of all, I would wait until version 5 of Virtual Earth is released with documentation (tomorrow I think - April 27, 2007). They may have added the functionality you need with any luck. But if you still need or want to use MapPoint, you must do the following: 1. Get a MapPoint account. Normally you must pay for this. I'm not sure if there is a free version or not. 2. From your web page, you must make a call to your server with the coordinates of the current view of the map. You can get this with the GetMapView method of the map control. 3. From your server, make a call to the MapPoint FindService using the findNearby method. This method takes a center and a radius, so the Lat/Long rectangle from the map must be converted to a center and a radius. Other arguments include the data source to use and the type of place you are searching for. 4. Send the results back to your web page to be added to the map. That is the basic process. There is a lot of extra code that needs to be added to accomplish this. Hopefully VirtualEarth V5 will do it. Tag: XML Reader!

- Account Expiration concerns Hi, we are a small website looking to integrate Live ID authentication. Our users come to us, ask questions, get answers, and then might not come back for a little while (weeks months ). We are concerned that each time these users come back their Live ID account will have expired. This is a big problem for us as our service does not require daily or weekly consistant logins. - Error in IDE trying to test Since i've been able to correct my problems wih launching the agent, i can't figure it out what is the error now!! This happend before but my solution( very elegant one ) was to uninstall and delete all files( including in the Documents and Settings) and re-.install the IDE! Now i would not like to do the same! - Question about Mouse Scroll Zoom... In v5, you can now disable the default actions of mouse events. Eg, the default action for the mouse wheel is zooming. - Windows Live Problems, Signing in not working I'm having the same problems, I cannot sign into my Hotmail account from the hotmail website or MSN. Both sites redirect me to the Windows Live login where I get the screens mentioned above, it is VERY frustrating knowing I have email that I cannot get to!!! - System hang and time-out Since becoming involved with Popfly I have had system hanging and/or time-out problems only when using the mashup program. I have Windows XP and according to all system checks everything is kosher. Am I having incompatibility problems with Starlight or do I need to make system configuration change I am aware that Popfly is Alpha and that is why I prefer to ask questions this time around before upsetting the apple cart. - PostGIS, MSVE and alot pf Polylines/Polygons I'll look into the .NET side of things.. see if i can get anywhere... But so far I've been trying Java and XML but havent really achieved anything praiseworthy.. I've managed to get GML out of the databases and I can have that as either LineStrings or Polygons with number of points in a LineString varying from 2 to 299 so what to do with this GML i've seen a blog about KML->GML->Java->Google maps but I just cant follow the Java requests and responses in the html section... sorry to be such a dunce cheers Jason Tag: XML Reader!

- Java Applet in Messenger Activity? I'm not sure how to understand the information in "Additional Activity API Development Requirements" referred to by the previous message. I do not see how a growing number of sites accepting Windows Live ID will affect this.
