    - mobile support? I am trying to add Windows Live Login support to a website that I hit from a mobile phone (trying the BlackJack lately). When I modified the sample to use a link instead of an iframe, it still worked great from IE, but from the BlackJack, I was redirected to a page that said JavaScript was required to use Windows Live Login. Does that mean there is no support for non-JavaScript enabled browsers (like almost all mobile phones) Is that planned for a future release or am I still stuck rolling my own auth system if I want to use my mobile devices Tag: media player 11

    - Pulling images from SharePoint Picture Library? Hi there, I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to create some sort of slideshow based on iamges taht are stored in a SharePoint picture library. I'm using WSS 3.0, so I have the integrated RSS feed fo rthe library. And I've turned on the feature to include file enclosures. I jsut can't seem to get it to pull any of the iamges out.     - Auto-center on ShapeLayer Hello, I want to add a ShapeLayer to my map and the Map should pan and zoom so that all PushPins of the ShapeLayer are visible. In the threads http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx PostID=559624&SiteID=1 and http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx PostID=1231191&SiteID=1 they talk about auto-recentering of the Map. But for me it does not auto-center with the VEMap.AddShapeLayer method (of v5). Can anybody tell me why it doesn't auto-center or what I have to do to get it centered Thanks in advance.     - What should I choose? Hi, Im looking for some advice, I have an XML file which contains a list of properties (name, description, price, bedrooms, lat, long and an image) that is being returned from an RDF database. I wish to plot these on Virtual Earth, my question is should I use geoRSS to display these properties and if I do can I place a user control to filter by price or bedrooms and how is this done OR Should I create JavaScript functions to read from the XML file and plot properties this way and how would I filter XML placed using this method I have researched and looked around but im having trouble as I have never done this before. When I try to use my domain ( http://webgamesrock.com ) as a return URL for the Windows Live ID SDK it gives me this error: The Return URL field contains a forbidden word or domain. I replaced the strSampleWLID with my Windows Live ID and strSamplePUID with my own too, and change the Authorization mode to RPS.     - Windows live messenger won't open I can't seem to get windows live messenger to open. Everything was working as usual until it randomly stopped responded and I was forced to end task. After ending task it will no longer open at all, i click on the icon and nothing happens, it isn't running in the task list either. I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times, nothing seems to comes up. Internet is working fine, firewalls are turned off, it just doesn't seem to ever open the program to allow me to sign in.     - Can I use same Pushpin for text and picture? Am refining my first map and would like to use a custom icon in the default onMouseOver to display text, and use the same icon to display a picture while the left mouse button is held down. Is this possible I already have the onMouseOver and custom icon working and assume I need to incorporate the onMouseDown and onMouseUp events.     - Must mantain current zoom level when reloading map Hi, My application is a Winforms application that shows in a WebBrowser control an HTML page I generate "on the fly". That is, application writes all needed HTML and Javascript code to show the user the corresponding map with serveral pushpins at a concrete zoom level. Of course, user can zoom-in, zoom-out and so on in the showed map. However, every 5 minutes fires a timer that writes again the HTML file (in case new pushpins must be added) and shows again the map to user. My problem is that when rewriting the HTML file, I always go back to the initial established zoom, without remembering which was the zoom the user was in. Before generating again the HTML page, I need something to store the current zoom level (using map.GetZoom()), so that new HTML page starts at that zoom level, instead of the initial zoom level. Therefore, where to store current zoom level so that it is accesible when generating next HTML page (new map) Any ideas are wellcome. Thanks very much in advance. Tag: media player 11

    - Photo/Display Controls Suggestion It would be great if we could specify the display height and width of Silverlight controls used to display images and text, such as PhotoFlip, PhotoStack, Page Turner, etc. One example is when Page Turner is used to display images with text in them, such as Google Books, where the existing control size makes these images impossible to read.     - Portrait PhotoStack? Retrieving from Flickr in order? Hi ppl, b4 I begin... GREAT WORK! Ok.. now that I've done some boot licking... 1. Can someone make a portrait (sp ack! I can't spell!) photostack 2. Retrieving photos from Flickr should retain its original order no Especially the retrieve PHOTO SET option.     - No maps in 3d view! Hi I recently upgraded my VE code to v4, and whilst the 2d stuff still works perfectly well (even the Birds' Eye View works fine), all i get in 3D view is a green blur (i.e. just the globe) regardless of my zoom level. It doesn't matter where i look at in the world - whether it be here in the UK or anywhere in the US. It's almost as if the 3D tiles aren't loading, as the navigation control and the orientation widget are both present. I just can't see any details on anything - very frustrating! The 3D examples on the maps.live.com (i.e. Tower of London and the Millennium Wheel) do exactly the same thing, so it's not my code at fault.     - Problems with LifeCam VX 3000 software I`ve just purchase a LifeCam VX 3000. The software loads okay. I then click on the LifeCam icon on the desktop to start the program. But when the window opens nothing works when I click on them. To close the window I have to shut it down in Task Manager. Sometimes the window will open but all I get is the hour-glass icon which never stops. Again I have to shut it down through Task Mangager. The webcam works fine in Skype but I can`t get the software to initiate. I`ve installed the latest software from the Microsoft website. Thanks Tag: media player 11

    - Somehow deriving an AddPolygon() from a Live Search Collection Dear Group, I've recently begun to experiment with Virtual Earth. I do a fair amount of JavaScript programming in my real job; so I created a rudimentary script to allow me to plot a polygon representing a political district in my city. I'm an alderman running for re-election and I got interested in Virtual Earth as a means to make an on-line map of aldermanic districts. Anyway, here is my rudimentary page: http://www.swerbach.com/Neenah3rd/NeenahAldermanicDistricts1and3.htm Summary of functions: Start: Start recording mouse click positions as LatLong pairs Stop: Stop recording mouse clicks Del Last Line: Remove last polyline drawn on the map Display: Show recorded mouse clicks in new window So click the 'Start' button and begin clicking. A green line will be drawn beginning with your second click. Click 'Stop' and then 'Display' and you'll be able to copy and paste the LatLong co-ordinates into a web page JavaScript function to be able to plot a polygon. Crude, I know. But this was before I found the local.live.com page and its nifty drawing capability. When I did find it I made a better drawing of District 3: http://local.live.com/ v=2&cid=CC1CCBE382D8B5C8!103 (It'll take a moment to load the map with its two dozen-odd pushpins.) When I'm signed on, of course, I can edit that polygon directly point-by-point. Very nice capability. What I want to do, though, is be able to draw the 3 Districts in my city using the local.live.com on-line drawing capability...and then "capture" the LatLong pairs for those polygons and transfer them to my own web page. Right now, if you look at the code for that local.live.com link, you'll see an XML polygon: < xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /> <v:shape id=msftve_1001_200016_50000 style="Z-INDEX: 60; LEFT: 0px; WIDTH: 718px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 105px; HEIGHT: 455px" unselectable="off" coordsize = "718,455" fillcolor = "lime" strokecolor = "blue" strokeweight = "2pt" path = " m464,43 l453,44, 452,41, 430,41, 430,44, 415,44, 400,44 ... etc. ... That's all well and good if one is only concerned with that particular zoom level. Of course a new XML shape is created for each Zoom level in the site's ASP.NET code or JavaScript code or whatever. But is there a way for me, again, to "capture" the LatLong pairs for all of those co-ordinate points The polygon I'm able to draw on the local.live.com site is SO much better than the one I can draw with my rudimentary JavaScript. hi i cant get my media player 11 to share my media i do the usuall stuff go into setting ano to share media but it just freezes then goes back to normal asking me to click share media again and it does the freeze thing all over again does any1 have any ideas im trying to share with my xbox 360

I have the same issue, it freezes everytime I click ok.... then about 15 sec later it unfreezes and does not go on to te next option, which I would ssume to be the point at which you are able to select "allow xbox 360" this is veryfrustrating and I know this is an old post but any help would be very helpful, thank - you
