As long as download is coming from Microsoft's website and is digitally signed by Microsoft, you can be sure that the download package is legitimate and okay to install. You can also go to http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/downloads.aspx and download Silverlight directly.

My anti-virus software detected the same thing. While I know MS would not put a virus in their product (it would be slightly counter productive) I am concerned that Silverlight is interacting with something in IE 6 to create a virus like glitch.
Is this possible
Don't suppose you could post what the make and version of your virus scanner and any other information that it displays such as the type of virus it thinks it is.

Personally, I really don't think its an IE issue.... but heh! I been wrong before.
