Hi, I thought that the daily transaction allowance for VE has been increased to 100K per day from 5K per day.
Thanks
Mo
The increase in daily usage is great to hear. It certainly gets us further along. Eventually, however there needs to be some kind of real commercial agreement similar to MWS.
Thanks,
Jeff
my company has recently entered into a commercial agreement with MSN Europe regarding VE and MapPoint usage on our upcoming website.
I suggest contacting your local MSN Business Unit rep for more info.
regards

Hi,My company has been buying MWS transactions for the last year and a half. We switched some of our maps over to VE (perhaps prematurely) and we're worried that as we increase volume we may hit the 5000 per day limit. This would be devastating as it's not so easy to determine when we hit the 5000 limit (to trigger a revert to the old MWS maps). That said, our MWS transaction provider indicated that there's a "Savings Account" that we should pay into to ensure we're compilant with VE commercial usage. He also said that there's currently no way to increase daily usage above the 5000 per day limit. This could really hamper our growth as we've begun to merge our application with the VE maps (i.e. move functionality to the client). My question is, how do we make sure that our transaction limit doesn't expire Can we pay for the extra transactions We're debating getting MapQuest or one of the other Ajax style map packages but we've invested a lot of time in VE and we really like it.Any information you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks,
Jeff
We have contacted our MS partner and they've indicated that there's this concept of a "Savings Account" in which we pay into. We're to estimate usage of the VE transactions and pay into this account for these transactions. They also indicated that currently, there's no way for VE to be extended within a given site to go beyond the current 5k or 10k restriction - even if you pay into the account. Is this what everyone else is hearing
Thanks,
Jeff
Derek, I am pretty much sure it is 100K

All sounds a bit fishy to me.
For Virtual Earth there is the 100k transactions per day limit, above that you have to pay.
Ask your MS partner how they expect you to monitor accurately the number of Virtual Earth transactions If they send you a bill for the transactions that you are not aware of; ask them to provide proof of the transactions, and how did they arrive at such a figure
I would be very interested to know!
As for the savings account, put the money on deposit in your company¡¯s bank account, and await their bill.
