Printing VE maps

Hi,

I am using my own customized dashboard & pushpins on VE maps. I am facing problem in printing the map with these these things. I mean dashboard & pushpins are not printing on paper, as they are background images.

If I change the IE setting then I can print these images (IE--Tools--internet options--advanced tab-- check print background colors & images).

But i cant tell the user to change this option everytime, is there any other option to resolve this Atleast customized push pins should print.

Can anyone help me on this

The custom pushpins are not background images. That option is turned off for my IE7 browser and my pushpins print just fine.

There must be another setting that is tripping you up.

Have you tried it from a 2nd PC just to rule out that it is your personal configuration

By default the checkbox is unchecked, I have cross-checked couple of PCs. By any way i can control this IE setting thru javascript so that images will be printed

You can't control IE settings through Javascript. Can you imagine the potential for truly horrible results if websites could change your browser settings with Javascript

Again, the map and pushpins are NOT background images, so I am confident that is not the problem. I can print them just fine without setting the "background print" option.

Have you checked the printer settings to ensure that the printer is not suppressing the graphics somehow

I have to use the pushpin as background image in CSS, as I am numbering the pushpins dynamacilly. So i m using some style with background image for pishpins.
