Hello - I have been trying to use the adcenter API to get a keyword report, aggregated by day, but it does not seem to be aggregating - I get multiple instances of the same keyword/matchtype/date combination, with different numbers, suggesting that it's just not aggregating the data.

I saw this post:

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx PostID=850133&SiteID=1

Which suggests that maybe the API does not do aggregation Though it wasn't clear from the answer which circumstances apply to that.

I have tried using both DateRangeType types (Customized and CustomizedDataRange), narrowed it down to requesting a single day of data in both cases, but again, I always get a bunch of instances of duplicate keyword/date/matchtype records.

In each case I am always specifying AggregationType of "Day".

This does not happen when I request an equivalent report via the web interface.

Is this expected behavior or am I missing something

Thanks,
Tyler

Are you sure that 2 instances which look the same (keyword/matchtype/date) concern the same ad for instance

Yes, the account/campaignid/orderid/orderitemid/adid are identical as well.

Checked another way, I have done a diff of the XML output, and the only fields that are different between the two records are the impressions, clicks, and average position.

Hi Tyler,

I'd be happy to assist with this issue, however I would first need to examine your SOAP Request (in XML) and maybe the resulting report file that you recieve.

Please feel free to post a "scrubbed" copy of your SOAP Request here, or email me at jasondt@microsoft.com

NOTE: We definitely do support Daily aggregation via the API, however it is possible that the date you are requesting does not have aggregated data available (this would most likely apply to "yesterday") one way you can test this is to request a report for a few days ago in Daily aggregation...

We have exactly the same problem. We request a report with daily aggregation type and get exactly the same data in two or more different rows, except for impressions, clicks, ctr, avg cpc, total cost and avg pos nodes.

Any solution for this Are we doing something wrong

Thanks,

Adrian
