    - How does one actually use the filters? How you get $authtoken I'm using PHP too, and can't understand where get authtoken. Tag: The date is wrong!

    - Calling GetRoute() from script in <body> rather than in <body onload=...> I'm trying to determine if there is a way to call the GetRoute() method from script that is embedded in the <body> of the page rather than in the <body onload=...> tag. Here are the two simplest map examples I've been able to construct to illustrate this idea. The second version doens't load in IE but works fine in Firefox. I get the following error in IE - --------------------------- Error --------------------------- A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug Line: 1 Error: Unexpected call to method or property access. --------------------------- Yes No --------------------------- Can anyone help me understand why this is happening in IE and if there is a workaround.     - Changes in AdCenterOrder? Ok, I downloaded all the wsdl this morning and built a new package for the API so I haven't checked if there were other changes. It does not seem to be a new version either!     - Specifying a postcode only (Australia) Hi guys, Briefly, this code used to work a couple weeks ago, but no longer. I suspect something possibly changed in the API or something related to that, but I can't find any documentation on it. Anyway... if you mouse over one of the push pins and enter a postcode in the textbox, you should be able to get directions from the postcode you entered to that pushpin. A couple weeks ago, postcodes such as “3008” and “2072” (which are all valid Australian postcodes) used to work. Now, they’re treated as ambiguous.     - Features and Improvements for ViaVirtualEarth.com Definitely agreed on the lack of visible Microsoft moderators here in this forum, especially on the hotter topics like the memory leak. A defect tracking list is a must, but are we guaranteed any better response on ViaVirtualEarth from the VE team than here Don't get me wrong John, I am all for consolidating everything you'd bulleted out in your initial post and am looking forward to contributing. I mean we have the forum, the interactive sdk, the ve blog, local.live.com, and the msdn2 articles/class reference -- and they all feel like individual, non-related sites. Anything to centralize the general knowledge base, tips, known flaws etc would be beneficial. I agree with Duncan here that a 2nd forum may have the effect of diluting the question/response volume too much...don't know for sure, but it seems like it might. If this forum were moderated on a regular basis I think it could serve its purpose just fine and you could just link to it. I'm intested in what your take on that is. In any event, as I said -- I AM ALL FOR your initiative and am willing to help. Other possible content ideas: Code Library (moderated/peer reviewed to some extent) Client Scripts by category Server Code web services hosted services compiled components and source code GeoRSS files exact documentation as to the extent of the spec implementation downloadable working sample files Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see how all this pans out.     - Suggestion Req. – how to overlay USA Radar? I had 1/2 hour at work so I tried mapCruncher approch - I could get the radar to display with correct zoom but I get the dreaded black lines across the screen on IE7. Apparently this is known fault with MC - but with out work around since November :( Also I was unable to get MC to render via a script using the -render switch.     - SSL & VE5 (Destroying Users Faith in My Application) Um, not sure that is accurate about the licensing. http://www.microsoft.com/virtualearth/control/terms.mspx My understanding is the use of the API for commerical and non-commercial all falls under the same restrictions. That said if you plan on more then 3 million requests per month or need a SLA or access to MWS then a commercial agreement is the way to go.     - Creating add-in with Visual C++ 2005 Express: possible? Hi there, I have programmed in C++ before and wanted to refresh all this by creating an add-in for Live Messenger. I downloaded Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition and started following this tutorial which uses Visual Studio and modified the registry so Live Messenger is ready to run add-ins. However, when I choose Class library from the New Project window, I end up with a bunch of .h and .cpp files and no .cs as shown in the tutorial. I can't find the Assembly name anywhere either. Is this a limitation of VC++ Express I decided it wouldn't be a big deal (yeah, bad attitude ) so I went ahead, added a reference to MessengerClient.dll and added more code to MyAddin.h but I can't get the program to compile (same thing happens when I add it to MyAddin.cpp). It just throws the following error: syntax error : missing ';' before '.' at line: using Microsoft.Messenger; I am a bit lost here as to what IDE I should use and how to get started on this!     - Adding pushpins at specific altitude in 3D Wow that's really cool, it worked for me! Now I can have little planes flying around also.... In terms of what the number actually is Duncan would have to answer but I could guess it maybe related to the altitiude setting: "In 3D mode, sets the altitude (in meters) above the geoid in the map view." Now I have a problem that ,in order to get or change input text in IMWindowClass, I hook "loadlibary" and check dll name,if it was named "Riched20.dll", I got CreateTextService function point and load ms riched20.dll. This way is available to msn 7, But it is not available to WLM 8.I hooked CreateTextService ,but WLm 8 seems to not call CreateTextService function.     - PostGIS, MSVE and alot pf Polylines/Polygons No your right that article doesn't mention it but grabbing data from database is using ADO.NET / datasets (assuming your developing using .NET Framework). There isn't anyway to keep your polygon representations inside your database unless you convert it into a readable GeoRSS file format otherwise you will need to break it down into individual lat/longs Tag: The date is wrong!

Yes I was about to report about it and saw this post.

In the Popfly Home page in the news & update section:

But when I copied it to post it here in the forum , it also copied and pasted something like 08|01|2007|23|18|04 in a text box kind of thing, which is copied but when pasted and posted is not being seen,which is not visible in the Home page.

One of the unannounced features in our last release of Popfly was a time machine. It's pulling events out of the future for you
