    - HIGH QUALITY VIDEO on Messenger Live This is a bit irritating but it seems that online video chats haven't really advanced in the past few years. Even though me and my brother are both in NYC, both on a 5MB download, 1MB Upload unbelievably fast Cable internet connection, Video chat still looks the way it did 3 years ago when we were on a 512kbps dsl, and not THAT different then it did when we were on 33,600 dial up modem. WHATS THE DEAL Why can't we get proper high resolution video streaming off each other at 640x480 and 24fps Or even higher for gods sake, my dual core machine with 4GB of ram could handle this! Is there any way to up the quality of video chat in Messenger Or is there any other program that specializes in this I tried skype but the quality is the same.. Tag: User Input in Virtual Earth

    - push pins and background Okay it seems to be some strange rendering issues with internet explorer. If I take out the comments in your commented section, your code will work if I switch between yellow and red, but fails for yellow and transparent. However, inside the code it understands that the window has changed to transparent colour (because it switches between the if statements and displays different alerts), however the browser is unable to render it properly.     - Error code 80070002 cant sign in in WLM 8 - NOT YET SOLVED BiGi, I tried the posted solution suggested by you, but it does not work yet. I tried also the Turtle's solution, but I would like the solution work in my windows account and not in another account. I don't know if another problem is related to the previus one, but I also noticed that my machine (XPMCE) don't save e-mail passwords ("Outlook 2k3"), so I have to retype password every time I download e-mail ("send and receive" button). Windows Messenger works fine (no Error code 80070002 is reported), it is just WLM that does'nt work. So, I suppose there is a policy problem, but I can understand James Baker's suggestion.     - Live Messenger Add-In has not enough Code Access Permission I have an Add-In developed based on Windows Live Messnger Add-In API, and in this Add-In, I'd like to use the "MetaWeblog API for Windows Live Spaces". However, when I call these MetaWeblog API, I get this error message "Request for the permission of type 'System.Net.WebPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed." If I call these MetaWeblog API in an isolate App, they can be made successfully, and certainly there isn't any error message. Please excuse my ignorance, I hadn't heard of a geoTiff until you posted but from what I have just read I am assuming it is a basically a Tiff file with geographical data emended into it Bearing in mind I am only looking at a very small area (around 1 square mile) could we not just use a flat, North-aligned image and use map cruncher to align it using the existing features (roads, railway lines etc.) To be honest the alignment doesn't have to be pixel perfect. I just want to have a relatively up to date image of each of the buildings featured in our application.     - PopFly Suggestions I think that the Ability to "Rollback" on a project would be good, and to have different revisions ( so you can always referance back to a baseline, previous save ) might also be helpful. Also, the ability to leave yourself project specific notes might also be handy ( in case you have to leave a project half done etc ) Just ideas that I thought might help make Poyfly even better.     - Problems with application register Hi, i could not register new applicattion, I could not obtain app ID after filling and processing the form it takes me back to form again with notification about an exception which has occured. I do not know if this is internal server problem or perhaps I am doing sth. wrong. Folks, Is there any way in the VE API to query for whether imagery is available at a particular zoom level and lat/long I'm showing closeup maps, and I'd really like to not show a map (or show it at a different zoom) if imagery isn't there.     - Issue passing VELatLong array I'm sure this is something basic, but it's got me stumped at the moment, so I'm asking for some new eyes to point out the obvious to me. I am trying to pass an array of polygon points to the new VEShape constructor, but when I build the array dynamically, it fails with 'invalid parameter', while hard coding the values works (of course). Here is the code. I am parsing a subarray of a larger array to get individual polygons. If I pass in 'myPoints', it works. If I pass in polyPoints, it fails, even though both have the same format.     - predownload whole tilesets on a PDA I'm running virtual earth on a PDA, but only have GPRS access.     - Custom shapes I am trying to add a custom control over a number of locations on the map. This control looks like a little titlebar. When clicked, the bar grows into a dialog box with lots of buttons and stuff for interacting with the object at that geographic point via httprequest calls. I can make the title bar appear over the object by adding a new shape at the location and setting the custom icon to be the control's source html. Sadly, the control's event handlers no longer work. And when I hover the mouse over the control, the shape's description box opens. How can the User Input be used with Virtual Earth. Whenever I use it, it ends up on the top and you can't click in the boxes. Is there something that can make it ask for the input first before displaying the map or something to separate them

Thanks for the feedback, this is a known issue with Virtual Earth and unfortunatley we invoke a method to display Virtual Earth before your mashup code is ran. Though using custom code you could hide it and bring it back on an event.

I've had a look around and I think that something needs to be put in to hide the Virtual Earth array (correct me if i'm wrong), then maybe use 'onsubmit' to show it again once the input has been submitted. I have no idea if thats right or the exact code though.
