Hello, I am developing an app where I am generating routes on the fly (from a form). I have already overridden the InfoBox style for the actual Pushpin display, but I was struggling to find a way to customize (or just get rid of) the waypoint, start, and end icons that are a part of the route. Ideally I would just like to have the actual route drawn and nothing else (and possible change its color/opacity/width/etc)...I can add a pushpin as a shape with a custom icon no problem, but couldn't figure out how to do this for the route.

Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, there's no clean way to do this due to the format of the route pins on the map. Take a look at this example pin:
<a class=VEAPI_Pushpin id=118321193621><img id=1181321193621_118321254840></a>

You may be able to "hide" the start/end flags by geocoding those points before hand, and then sticking a pin to cover it on top after the route has been generated. In order to get those custom pins you'll have to do an unsupported override of the API so that it points to your custom icons rather than the generated .GIFs

Hope that helps start things off,

Thanks for the help, thats exactly what i had already settled on...its too bad that the VE structure doesn't make it easier to play with. I definitely think that the route should be put on a shapelayer and rendered with shapes to be manipulated (through JS and CSS)...
