    - Customizing the WebAuth Sign-in link IFRAME Why is it recommended to use an iframe to display the sign in-link If the end-user can implement Web Auth, he can also find a way to display a sign in/out-link. The iframe is just a call to the Live ID-server which is completely unnecessary if you ask me. I like to build sites according to standards (HTML 4.01 Strict) and have them validate without errors, using the recommended iframe would invalidate my website (as iframe isn't implemented in HTML 4.01 Strict, see here ) Tag: License Key in 4.2 SDK

    - multiple 3D maps on a page The same thing happens if you open 2 tabs in IE7 and try to open 3D maps on each of them. The thing that you need to remember (Assuming of course that I understand this properly ) is that a 3D map is controlled by a separate program installed to your computer the first time you use it, while 2D maps are all handled by a browser control, with no additional computer involvement than is usually present with a web application that uses javascript. The resource use of the 3D map is pretty intense, so having 2 independent ones might be a bad thing anyway, but it appears that this version does not allow that by design.     - Grouping of pushpins and vice versa you need clustering and proper LOADERS for large pin data sets. MS API seems to have absolutely nothing of real world use let alone stuff to assemble things out of. the MS Layer facility neither has automatic clustering not lazy loads of data, as a result the piece of ***** tried to load in our app 10000 of pins resulting in browser crash. We have to write our own stuff. I hate having to reinvent the wheel. Only benefit the VE has is maps cover more and in more detail it seems that their competitors. Other than that I am personally upset as I have to wrote both clustering and lazy loaders to get our app working and scaling.     - Advanced Facebook Mashup At the moment user can't extend the Facebook block as it makes use of keys, hopefully with the next release we will mirroring more of the functionality provided by Facebook.     - I need help !!!! You have saved the page, right (Because the editor says that it cannot add images to na unsaved page.) When you click on the "insert image" button, a dialog appears, displaying your gallery. At the very bottom of this dialog there are three buttons "upload pictures", "ok", "cancel", so the first one opens an extended file upload dialog. If you cannot see the complete dialog, try to close it with the [x] button, then reopen it. It seems that on smaller screens the lower part of the dialog might be hidden by the page footer.     - IE crashing when adding pushpins to my site in 3D mode ! An IE crash is typically due to an issue with video drivers or other browser add-ins conflicting with the 3D control loading. You can output a log file of the exception which will help narrow down what the issue is. Go to the following directory: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Virtual Earth 3D (on Vista it's slightly different, it's under Users/LocalLow). You should see a file named user.config. The server is currently a standalone program but is currently being turned into a service. I'll let you know when it's available. The client relies on TomTom 5 or 6 being installed. Hello,

i've just installed the new 4.2 SDK and there are some changes in the folders structure!

I've placed my licence key int \Colloquis\Colloquis SDK\ and on the "About This Server" panel in Agents Manage Console i get - Licence ID : unknown

Where should the licence key go

With a reboot this was fixed!

Now I get the licence info but in the Monitoring and Control i get a red message saying :

Could not read license file (About License Files)

This was changed a little while ago. The license should now go in the \Colloquis\ folder.

My licence file is located at the \Colloquis\ folder!
