Hi,

I have upgraded a WS from WSE 3.0 to WCF. At some point on the server I need to get the user name of the person who has authenticated against the WS. I could do this in WSE 3.0 by doing:

RequestSoapContext.Current.IdentityToken.Identity.Name

Is there some equivalent way of doing this in WCF I have authenticated the user so with UserName security and have written a custom UserNamePasswordValidator which validates the username password. I just want to be able to get at that user from the server side.

If I understand your question correctly, I believe the service's SecurityContext will let you at the client credentials you're looking for. Here's an MSDN article explaining how it's done:
