Hello,

is it possible to override the ResourceManager so that he stores the different language files in the database instead of a dll

If it's possible how could look like Do I have to inherit from the ResourceManager class or how could I start

Thanks for every ideas which you can come up with.

Chris

I wrote a sample how to do your own localization at runtime. You can use .csv, db, .resx or whatever storage you want. I used an attached property to do it

You can get a small sample here: http://www.saurenmann.net/Main/public/LocalizationAttachedProperty.zip

To note that doing the translation at runtime is more expensive that at compile time and you should cache the DB look up somewhere to avoid round trip to the DB at each form show or worst at each translation call.
