Hello

I was wondering if there would be any support/change to MFC to create Wizard applications which look similar to Microsoft wizards in Longhorn i.e the pagee are listed on left side and the pages keep changing on the right side.

So in short any plans to move away from Wizard 97 style

cheers

Kuldeep

Hi Kuldeep,

MFC does support creating/updating applications to use Aero Wizards. Just set m_psh.dwFlags to PSH_AEROWIZARD in the CPropertySheet constructor.

Refer to http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms652418.aspx to understand which other flags can or cannot be used with PSH_AEROWIZARD. Here is a blog post with a simple Aero Wizard sample http://blogs.msdn.com/nikolad/archive/2006/07/10/AeroWizardsInMFC.aspx

Thanks

Hi Sarita

I am aware of the Aero wizard but it is this style of wizard I was talking about :

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/Bb246410.aspx

The above wizard is used by Microsoft in MMC applications in Longhorn hence I labelled them as Longhorn wizard (dont know what else to call them). From careful observation I figured out that they are implemented by MS in dot net but again there is no documented framework hence my question to this forum as to whether Orcas would support creation of that style of UI.

many thanks

Kuldeep

Hi Kuldeep,

We do not have any specific MFC feature in Orcas that supports creation of this style of wizard.
