WCF interop??

Hello Guys:

I am a newbie at WCF and was wondering if we can:

1) Call a piece of code (a service, if you will) written in C running on UNIX platform using WCF
2) A piece of code written in C running on UNIX platform talk to a WCF service to get some job done

If so, how practical would it be to do so can anyone point me in the right direction

I would really appreciate some details on this.

Hi Santosh

I would expect that it is possible to do so. It is all a matter of if the consumer can interpret messages in the WS-* standards stack. WCF implements these standards.

So in order to get any application or service running on Unix and coded in say C to talk to a WCF service, you will need an implementation of the WS-* standards stack running on Unix.

Try to do a search for keywords like Webservices SOAP Unix on your fav search engine and you'll get a dozen of implementations.
