Hi,

I've recently started using WCF, and i've got a typical requirement for a service where it needs to run under a given network identity i.e. impersonate a specific account. in the past i used impersonation in asp.net and specified a user/password.

Is there a similar way to do this in a WCF service hosted in IIS.

Regards.

WCF allows you to do it. Please check out http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms730088.aspx.

You could do similar to asp.net with running service under aspnetcompatibility mode. check out this article at http://blogs.msdn.com/wenlong/archive/2006/01/23/516041.aspx
