I want to allow the users of the application being able to rotate the 3d object by dragging there mouse in a similar manner of rotating objects in a 3D PDF.

Is this possible with WPF

Check out 3DTools (by Microsoft). It provides you with the code you'll need to achieve this, I believe very easily.

Thanks very much...

I tried the trackball.cs class, but no matter how I drag my mouse, the back side of the object cannot be seen. i.e. the camera can move only on one half of the trackball.

Is there any solution for this problem

Ya , its possible n very easy too ..

Hope u r using expression blend for designing UI in XAML.

U just need to define 3D object in XAML code

( or u can use one awesome tool called Zam 3D ,which is freely available [http://www.erain.com/downloads/trials/InfoRequest.asp d=21] n u can export tht 3D object to blend .

and Just click on tht 3D object in design view (in expression blend )

U will get one zigmo sign on selected 3Dobject ,which provide u options for rotation, scale n translation also ...

I m working on same thing,Let me know if u need any more help ..
