Is that possible I would like imitate the effect that the Visual Studio editor has, where you can collapse and expand blocks of code ni an editor. Can that be done using a RichTextBox

RichTextBox in its vanilla form in V1 doesnt support live embedded objects.

ie. If you add a TreeViewItem it will be in a disabled state (no input interaction is possible).

I hope this is resolved in an upcoming release (as it was one of the many promises of WPF prior to release and worked even in betas). It's a 'teasing' feature that seems like it should work ... the work arounds are risky.

we are considering enabling embedded elements in future releases.... in the current release we do not support this scenario (even though workarounds exist)
