Hi,

After upgrading to VS 2008 Beta 2 i get this error on a LINQ Query wich worked on Beta 1.

Unable to cast object of type 'System.Data.Linq.SqlClient.SqlJoin' to type 'System.Data.Linq.SqlClient.SqlAlias'.

The query:

var forums = from f in context.Forums

where f.tMandant.id == Helper.CurrentMandant.id

orderby f.SortOrder

select new

{

id = f.id,

Name = f.Name,

Description = f.Description,

Topics = f.ForumTopics.Count,

Entries = (from t in context.ForumTopics

where t.Forum1.id == f.id

select t.ForumMessages.Count).Sum(),

LastEntry = (from m in context.ForumMessages

where m.ForumTopic.Forum1.id == f.id

orderby m.CreatedAt descending

select m.CreatedAt + "<br />" + m.tPerson.Cerevis).First()

};

Anyone Thanks

This looks like a bug in Beta2. I've been able to get a simple repro of this exception. Thank you for reporting this issue.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

Is there a chance to get a hotfix
Or do we have to wait for beta3
