I would like ask you for help for how to getting into window CE 5 registry without using Window CE 5 remote registry editor. I have tried commands like: redit and regedit; none of them worked for me. I will be very much appreciated if someone could give me a hand on that.

Thank you,

Liang

Windows CE does not include a registry editor application. You can try PHM RegEdit instead.

Alex & Guan-Ming,

Thank you for your reply. I will give what you both suggested a try. I am just wonder if it would make any difference if I am using Window CE 5 node board, not a pocket PC.

Thank you,

Liang

It might make difference if the application has some shell dependencies. It will be much easier to try and see for yourself. If everything fails, try this one

Hi Liang,

I have not tested task manager on window ce, I just test it on Pocket PC, just copy the .exe file to Pocket PC device , it can work fine. You should visit the its website or search on the web to find how to use it.

Guan-Ming,

I did whatever the instruction says: "copy the file TASKMGR.StrongARM.CAB to my CE node board, double-tap it with the stylus in Windows Explorer I got the following message,

ˇ°the application can not run on this device type. Please install the applications specific to this device typeˇ±

I am getting this message, Is that because I am using an unregistered version

Thank you,

Liang

Alex,

I have tried the code from the site which you have provided, it works in the WindowCE 4.2 environment. Now, I need to figure out is how to convert the code to run under Window CE 5.0 environment.

Thank you,
