Hi,

this can't be done directly by the .NET CF. Probably you take a look at the SmartDeviceFramework 2.1 Community Edition, which offers this functionality.

For a sample how to do it take a look at this forum entry.

Cheers, Peter

Hi,

well, you would copy a file like on any TCP connected Network connection: You must have "sth" running as a server (like a FTP Server for example) on serverside. You are mixing here a network connection and a service you want to use. These are to different things.

System.IO.File.Move("\\from\aa.jpg", "\\192.168.0.xx\test\aa.jpg") but cant recognize the network address.what is "sth" sorry but dont know what that means.Smile

Hi,

sorry - sth is short for something.

I'm not sure you can move files through a network share.

the only way is throught active sync and using rapi i thought there was another way to overcome the activesync by network.

Hi,

ActiveSync via RAPI is not a choice, as RAPI is only supported by the Desktops ActiveSync. You can't move files via ActiveSync from your PPC directly. You would start the moving from desktopside, and not from PPC.

yes that is correct.forgot that.can i use sockets to send files

Re: .NET Compact Framework Connect to specific wifi network

Hi,

okay, once again. You can use sockets of course, if you develop some service on your Server opening a Socket, which recieves the data. Otherwise you can use a FTP Server or other services to achieve your goal. FTP Classes for your .NET CF application can be found in the SmartDeviceFramework I've mentioned earlier as well.

Hope this helps.
