Expand the "Linker" section, move to "Input" and add type "phone.lib" into the additional library field. As i only have german version installed i don’t know exacty if these are the right names, but you should be able to find that i think.     - people spamming live gallery ratings and down rating not mensioning any names (BAMKEE) Iv'e noticed that a couple of people are creating sidebar, live and myspace gadgets and spamming other gadget search tags with their own email addresses and gadgets and stuff. These people are also Down rating other live, myspace and sidebar gadgets to get their gadgets to the top of the lists. one person in particular is Bamkee who posted 3 gadgets almost identical and had 5 star average out of 20 ratings before he had even had 20 downloads. Me and my brother developed a sidebar gadget for ebay which has been downloaded 5100 times since november and had 56 genuine ratings until Bamkee posted his similar gadgets which . Now our gadget has 87 ratings due to Bamkee down-rating as he sees our gadget to be a threat to his. although our gadget has a totally different purpose. not only this but I suspect he and others have been downrating Sidebar, live and myspace gadgets to get onto the top rated list These people should not be allowed to post gadgets and should be taught a lesson wouldn't it be funny if all msn users down rated their gadgets to teach them a lesson.     - PPC application does not update sdk database from emulator? Thanks for the replies but I have figured it out. You need to add the .sdf file to your project first. Then map a path to the location of the .sdf file in the emulator so when it opens the program will look at and update the DB on the emulator not on your computer. Thanks guys.     - SQL Server Compact table not getting data edits made in datagrid from vs05 c# Ilya, Thanks for replying on my issue. In response to your points: (1) I did a sample project based on the tutorial where on the Main Form I have a datagrid and a button. The Edit and View forms were auto generated as in the MSFT tutorial I referenced. In the button click event on the data grid form I have the following code: private void button1_Click( object sender, EventArgs e) { this .traineesBindingSource.EndEdit(); this .traineesTableAdapter.Update( this .fitnessJournalDataSet.Trainees); this .Close(); } When the edit form closes I see my insert or edit in the datagrid on the main form, but once closes do not see it in Database. (2) I checked and I did not add any code to call AcceptChanges() nor did I find it any where in the project. (3) I have the option to redeploy the database only when newer. Also, I check the database file timestamp from the DEBUG folder immediately after closing the Emulator and it never changes. Please let me know if you have any additional thoughts as I am still having the same issue.     - SDF (storage card) database connection fails after hibernation VB Not good i'm afraid ... I'm not a full time programmer (ie not very good) and specialised in Business objects and VBA ... I don't know how to get round the "Unspecified Error" of doom. If anyone does figure out the "Holy grail" of hosting a SDF database on the storage card and reconnecting after a sleep/wake cycle in VB please post your ideas/thoughts/code here!! But I created the C# Dll from VS2005 and as you know there is no way to specify any method with Export keyword same like we do in vc++ .def. So how unmanaged dll can use the methods of managed dll.     - Text, transparency, focus and backgrounds in gadgets I have been given a background (a png) that is partially transparent all the way across to use in a gadget. I can layer text on it and the text becomes partially transparent too. So white text becomes grey etc. However if I try and get this text or the box that contains it to respond to mouseover events - it just won't. Well it will but only if I click on another arbitrary part of the background first (in the middle near the top - there are no hidden elements in there). Then all the text goes a weird pinkish white, and then it will respond. This seems to be another manifestation of the commonly recurring problems with focus. I want to check is there any reason that text layered on partially transparent background won't respond I mean the whole background is transparent, not just a section of it. I'm happy to post the code, but I've lifted it from another working gadget I created, so I'm fairly certain it isn't the code, besides it's pretty simple to have an element with an onmouseover or onclick event that calls a function and to have that function with a single line of code that responds to it. So in summation - in this gadget of a few lines with a partially transparent background, the onmouseover event on a div won't respond, unless focus is somehow gained first (note self.focus() doesn't help). In a similar gadget with an opaque background with transparent border, onmouseover div responds just fine.
