Hi.

I got problem with mobile application. Every time I try to access the web using:

request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(requestUri);

response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse();

I get the message:

FileNotFoundException

From the GetResponse() command. If I use the same code to produce regular windows program everything works fine.

Do you have any idea what cause that

I wrote a simple project with the problem. If you need it to help let me know and I'll e-mail it to you. I didn't find any way to attach it here... :-(

Best regards,

Amit.

Moving to smart devices forum; more likely place to get an answer to this issue.

Most likely you're simply having networking issues (e.g. you forgot to setup networking or did not configured proxy or proxy needs authentication and so on) which result in normal networking exception. Make sure to catch it and print out exception type, exception message and stack trace.

Message you see (in the debugger message window, is that right ) is probably byproduct of original exception and is not a problem as its handed by the framework. See this.

Hi Ilya.

The problem is that try-catch deosn't catch this exception. The mobile application is running much slower then the regular windows application built on the same code.

I get the floowing messages in the debugger window:

A first chance exception of type 'System.IO.FileNotFoundException' occurred in mscorlib.dll

A first chance exception of type 'System.IO.FileNotFoundException' occurred in mscorlib.dll

A first chance exception of type 'System.UriFormatException' occurred in System.dll

Should I just ignore those messages(Like its recommand in the relavent thread) !

Are those message hiding the real problem from me

Amit.
