Hi,

I'm building an application in C# that needs to connect through gprs, and i have to disable Wifi connections so they don't cause conflicts with the gprs connection, and also to save the battery, is there any way to do this from code im using a Intermec CN3 and a Symbol MC70 handhelds with windows mobile 5

Thanks.

Yes, call the API lineSetEquipmentState.

I think Symbol SMDK for .net 1.3 has examples of this.

GPRS should be disabled and enabled by turning on and off airplane mode.

Dear friend,

You can P/Invoke native API ConnMgrReleaseConnection function (in Connection Manager API) to delete the specified connection request. The application simply informs Connection Manager, and Connection Manager handles the details.

Also, you can use ConnectionManager Class by OpenNETCF.org. You can use the library to open or close connections of any types.

See link: http://www.opennetcf.org/library/OpenNETCF.Net.ConnectionManager.html

Furthermore, you can disable the wifi connection through DeviceIOControl function to cut off the power of wifi. This topic was discussed before, see link:

Hope this can give you some ideas. Thanks!

Hi, Zero Dai,

Thanks for the information, it was very useful, but i have a doubt about DeviceIOControl, can it be used on Windows Mobile 5 , i think it only works on Windows XP, 2000, Vista etc..

Thanks a lot
