Hi everybody,

I tried to deploy and run MedicalHistory example on both WM 6 classic emulator and WM6 classics device. In both cases, I didn't see the menu item added to the contacts menu item. However, it started to work only after I set up email account. strange, is it

Does any body know why it happens I need to find a way to add a menu item to the contacts's main screen main menu (not context menu).

Thanks in advance,
Imzadi

Hi Alex,

I'm reffering to the sample in Windows Mobile 6 SDK, Pocket PC, CPP, win32. The sample is a VS 2005 solution. The target of the project is a DLL.

When activated, the DLL registeres its CLSID in the registry in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Extensions\ContextMenus\Contacts\Main_Menu.

The CLSID is set on HKCR\CLSID.

Using remote tegistry editor, I can see that the registry that the values are indeed set.

The sample complies and deployed fine (I can see the DLL) but I see the extra menu item (in the contacts menu) only after creating an email account.

Do you have an idea why this happens. I don't want to tell my users they have to setup an email account just to see the additional menu item on the contacts application.
