    - passing data from vc++ dll to c# console exe Hi Saravanan, Thanks for your reply. The thing is I don't wanna start the process again using CreateProcess and I already achieved that my exe runs forever once it is initially launched. So the only concern is I just have to pass the data from vc++ dll to c# exe and as per my understanding, if I use the message queues, it is too cumbersome. Bc in my application, the vc++ dll has to pass the new data to c# exe when left/right arrow key is pressed by user. In this case, I believe using message queue will slow down the app' performance. if you have any other idea, plz do let me know.     - SMS Interception - Keep Message Text? This is essentially what I want to do; I simply cant figure out where the raw text of the message is passed. The event args for the intercept event dont contain it as far as i can tell, where else would it come from Or would this require not deleting the message (ie. InterceptionAction.NotifyOnly) , getting the messageID from the eventargs and then manually pulling that message out, parsing it, and deleting Seems somewhat laborious, and kind of defeats the object of having the interceptor, unless you only want one specific action for one type of message. Since you will load lots of images, you can use Imaging API to scale these images down to a more reasonable size. (1) Yes, the properties for the video(s) as displayed in Windows Media Player 10 on my desktop and my PDA both tell me it is 'Windows Media Video 9 Screen'. The only wrinkles I need to add to this is that I'm working with a Smartphone "Home Screen" plugin, and I'm also supporting all the way back to Smartphone 2002 using a single code base. Because the home screen is Smartphone specific, the PPC emulator trick won't work for this case, and because of the older (CE3) support, I can't call the newer API's (well, not easily anyway). I'll spend more time looking into your suggestions, but if anyone has any Smartphone-specific additions I'd love to hear those as well (especially if they relate to home screen behaviors). The "Adapt your App" link you provided specifically mentions those new portrait/landscape Smartphone devices (SPV E650), but simply suggests loading the new SDK's rather than giving detail on that implementation (or maybe I missed that part). To give you a example to illustrate the problem : my pc ip address is 192.168.1.235, the pocket PC emulator use dhcp and have a valid ip (192.168.1.23). When I try to contact a server (private or public) there is no problem. For example my xmlrpc function run fine when I use the ip of my second dev pc (192.168.1.230). But when I try to contact the pc witch run the PPC emulator (192.168.1.235) the host could no be found... I tried to deactivate the firewall but the problem remain the same (the predefine rule for www seems to be broken, when I tried to activate it I received a message that indicate a rule name cannot start or end by a space...) I've installed a few new gadgets to my gadgets directory. They all have foldername.gadget, but the sidebar will not show me anything other than the default 11. A few of these gadgets have been downloaded from the "Get more gadgets online" link.

What am I doing wrong here A few of the gadgets I've tried have "File Folder" listed under type, even though they end in .gadget as the folder name. Another file there is calculator which is listed as a "Windows Gadget" under type, yet sidebar finds none of them.

Did you install them into the right directory

C:\Users\YourUsername\AppLocal\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\

Do they all have a correct gadget.xml file
