I'm having some issues getting the cellular emulator to work on my workstation. When I attempt to run the cell emu it returns an error message stating "Cannot find seven pairs of XPVCOM port". The help indicates that XPVCOM isn't installed correctly, and that I should reinstall it. I have tried running InstallXPVCom.exe repeatedly with no luck. I suspect that my problem is this device driver was not designed for Vista x64, and thus is not installing.

Has anyone else gotten this to work on Vista x64

Hi there,

You are correct, currently Cellular Emulator does not run on x64 OS (it's using a x86 device driver to allow connection from CellEmu to Device Emulator).

Thanks,

I've got the same error-message, but using Vista 32bit!

I'd suggest you download the Windows Mobile 6 SDK Refresh (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx FamilyID=06111a3a-a651-4745-88ef-3d48091a390b&DisplayLang=en) and try again.

This may solve the problem.

I just ran into the exact same issue today on WindowsXP with the Windows Mobile 6 SDK refresh (from a CD handed out at the MEDC 2007 conference) and installed both professional and standard. I had all pre-requisites installed for the SDK's. Any other ideas
