    - Combo Box display mbr Thanks for the reply but if I understand it correctly, displaying the value is not the idea as it is a code number. Here's the background: The Device form is bound to a Table called PropertyWorks in an SDF. The SDF was converted from an MS Access database. The Combobox on the form has Databindings Text set to PropertyWorksBindingSource Elemental Code. The datasource for the combobox is set to a table containing the list of Elemental Codes and Element Names - ElementsBindingSource. The ValueMember for this is Elemental Code i.e. the code corresponding to the Code in the PropertyWorks Table. The DisplayMember is the Element Name so that the name should display in the Combobox. This is standard database practice. The problem is that the Element Code is displayed rather than the name and when the Combo is opened it does not show which Element is selected.     - bitmap deploy on emulator alongwith exe hi all i want to make cards game for PDA,i m using images of cards, i m placing images in a folder and showing them at runtime on form. it works fine on windows application but gives "IOexception" exception on emulator i think it is not moving the images with exe that is why this exception comes,i mean did not find file on location and ioexception is raised.i m using the current path for the image like bmp = new Bitmap ( "../images/S1.png" );// new Bitmap ( "S1.png" ); also tried but failed _Image = Image .FromHbitmap(bmp.GetHbitmap()); then drawimage is called. i have also viewed on emulator where exe was present there were not images folder not single image. my question is how to deploy images alongwith exe so that it images folder is also deployed alongwith exe, or it will not deploy images and i had to give path like c:\\.images etc Thanks in advance. My problem being in this perticular case is that a Gadget page does not work the same way as a normal DHTML page would. As you said, I did use Javascripts event handling to launch an event when the link was clicked. I've confirmed that the event is really triggered by launching an alert message. This works, but how do I reload the conent which the gadget is displaying The method I've tried is to set a variable with the html content, this content gets a new value when the link is clicked after which I call window.location.reload... that didnt work. Ive looked at the code for the Quote of the Day gadget (I think this is one of the standard gadgets )..     - CreateWindow and WM_ACTIVATE syncronization? Hello I noticed that after calling CreateWindow a message is dispatched to WM_ACTIVATE. My question is if there is any way using the SDK to determine if this is the first time WM_ACTIVATE is being called or not. My problem is that I have data that needs to be initialized in order for WM_ACTIVATE to work properly and this is not the case when WM_ACTIVATE is triggered by CreateWindow. The solution I have today uses a boolean flag to check for first occurrence but my question is if this would be possible to solve using a SDK function.     - Debugging WinCE 5 apps not working I'm trying to debug a Compact Framework 2.0 app on a Windows CE 5 device from VS2005 sp1. I assumed this should just work out of the box. When I set a breakpoint in the CF app, deploy and start debug the breakpoint indicates it wont be hit. The little exclamation point icon on the breakpoint indicates 'the specified module has not been loaded'. Any idea what is causing this The app deploys and runs fine on the device but I cannot debug. I found that a .inf file without the InstallDir key will only compile using CabWiz.exe from the Windows Mobile 6 SDK. However, once the .CAB file has been created it will NOT install onto a WM5 or WM6 device. If I re-include the InstallDir key, the .CAB file created from the WM6 SDK CabWiz.exe installs fine.     - Cannot connect to web service on my local machine... Thank you for the reply. After restarting my PC I was able to get it going with some issues. Do you need to disable/enable the network card after you turn off the firewall or restart the computer This is my best guess as to why it wouldn't work and now it works a bit. Anyhow, there seems to be a problem when adding the web reference...when I go to add a reference the "Add Web Reference" dialog will search for a very very very long time before gviing me a "Unable to connect to remote server" error message. Does this symptym sound like anything familiar....I even get the same response from typing http://192.168.15.100:8608/WebService/Service.asmx into the address bar of IE on my desktop computer. I have also tried to add the service to a virtual directory under the Default Website in IIS 5. My OS is XP Pro. Is it possible to force the call to use a specific connection, one that has been setup using the connection manager I would like to be able to control the connection and to close it after use.     - Out of memory exception on WinCE5.0 Hi world, I've a problem related of lack of memory. Running application the memory is OK. When I start to navigate inside the forms the momory continue increasing and an error "Out of memory" is generated. I thought the problem was the "not disposed bitmaps" so, when I close the forms I'm disposing all the bitmap used but the problem have not solved. In the application I use many System.Windows.Forms.Timer. So if you depend on that to create the content for your gadget you might need to move the resize command into the end of the callback procedure of the service.. You can't, you have to run different CAB files.

You can do it from your desktop installer in order to automate the process.
