    - Sidebar can't find new gadgets? I've installed a few new gadgets to my gadgets directory. They all have foldername.gadget, but the sidebar will not show me anything other than the default 11. A few of these gadgets have been downloaded from the "Get more gadgets online" link. What am I doing wrong here A few of the gadgets I've tried have "File Folder" listed under type, even though they end in .gadget as the folder name.     - Form Inheritance Problem I am developing for a CE 5.0 device using VB 2005. I created a simple form and changed a few of the properties (background color, size, borderstyle). I built the project and then created an inherited form inheriting from the first form. None of the properties were set to that of the original form.     - Can we use PCI Board with Device Emulator(Similar to CEPC) Hi Bhavani The Device Emulator is basically a virtual machine (like VmWare/ VirtualPC) emulating an Samsung SMDK 24xx board. There is no way of diretly accessing a PCI board from the emulator (any PC Hardware). The device emulator currently does not have a PCI bus emulation. The old x86 based emulator shipped in Windows CE 5 and earlier had an extension mechanism documented here . There is currently no documented way of extending the new ARM based Device Emulator.     - PocketPC 2003 Emulator and local webserver access failed I think this is not a problem of xml or other thing like that, it's just that the emulator refuse to communicate with the host. The problem appears with Internet Explorer for instance, not only XmlRpc api. Host computer can ping the emulator and access to the embedded webserver, but I'm unable to do the reverse. The emulator is unable to find the host ip address. It's very strange. I'd searched the forum and KB but not found any message on this kind of problem.     - Transparent images with pink border issue again Well, I got it all figured out, I ended up just adding a full opaque section on the trnasparent image in the size and shape of the buttons that replace dynamically. now no issues!     - regarding memory exception You should only dispose of something you no longer need. If you dispose of bitmap you would have to recreate it if it's needed again. If it's a game tiny QVGA (or at best VGA) bitmaps should be used. Scale down all your bitmaps to that resolution to save memory and improve performance. The batch file works fine when I run it stand alone. This is going to be a totally newb question (I just finished reading "VB in 24 Hours") but where do I get the soundfile.h file, and what do I do with it I assume that I need to link to it somehow, but I'm not sure how Also, using the Playsound API above, I can get it to work, but have to manually copy over the wav files to the pda, and then reference their path on the PDA. Is there a way I can add the sounds to the project, and they are transfered to the PDA automatically, either during debug or installation It seems odd that when calling the function that the root isn't the project folder but the root of the PDA, and that I have to seperatly copy them over.
