Is it possible to use static methods in webservices when I create a static method in a WebMethod and update the refrence in the other project. still can't access to the public static method. and I wonder if it is possible or not

Can i know for what purpose you are using these static methods If you are using these for passing some values, possibly use objects [get set] to do this.

no, it's just because of the logic of the program. I mean these methods are not dependent on the instance. of course I can make them as none static methods (as I do now) but it's not logic

hi again,
When you use static method with the attribute webmethod, as by default nature of a static method, that it will never change its default property, you are not able to do what exactly want to do[updating some ref].

According to me please note in webservices, you will loose many feature which is available in aspx, like there is no cocept so called session element and many more.

If you could share some part of code n logic, probably you could have your answers soon.
