Hi. Not really sure where to put post this question but I figure this is the closest (I hope).

I am currently looking for a good charting component. Need to plot number in a graph. Does anyone have any suggestion on which once to look at I am currently trying th Graphics Server .Net one and would like to try out other products. I just want something that is easy to use. Specially something that is easy to plot numbers coming for result sets, result sets that are dynamic for every query execution. What I mean is, for the same query, it will return different number of columns (almost always).

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Rick..

Hi,

I have used Dundas charts in the past http://www.dundas.com/ and was happy with how easy they were to use, I used them to create 3D pie charts on the fly.

Mark.

Never used it in a databound scenario before, but the library I usually use is called ZedGraph - found at www.zedgraph.org

Pretty easy to use and the source has some good examples for learning to use the library.

Chuck the Code Monkey

I've also used ZedGraph quite extensively and found it to be incredibly powerful and fairly easy to use. I definitely recommend it.

We have been using Chart FX for both .NET frameworks 1.1 and 2.0. Here is the link for their Gallery types: http://www.softwarefx.com/sfxGallery/ in case you need it.
Chart FX will provide you also with a Wizard in case you want to create always very professional looking charts in no time. You can download a 30 days trial in their website.
We just bought Chart FX Gauges (http://www.softwarefx.com/sfxNetProducts/cfxGauges/) and Chart FX Extensions (http://www.softwarefx.com/extensions/) for a new project, their output is always very clean and professional
Cheers.

Hi. Thanks for all your input on this one. We've evaluated different products, mostly with the once you guys suggested and we end up going with Component1's Chart for .Net. The other one we were considering was the .NetCharting. We found (for our purpose) that the Component1 charting component renders the graph faster than the others we've looked at.

Thanks again.
