When I launch VS 2005 the Start Page shows the following message in the Visual Studio Developer News section: " There is no content available yet. Content will be downloaded once a connection to the internet is established". I'm not sure what's wrong here because I have a working internet connection ... it's as if VS 2005 is looking for a connection via some network connection I am not using. Can someone enlighten me

Thanks

Yes ... IE works fine ... no problems. Also I can get my mail without difficulty. Do you know where the netowrk settings are in VS I cannot locate them.

Thanks.

nobugz

Tools + Options, turn on Show All Settings in lower left, Environment + Startup. Choose the setting for "At startup", my news channel link is http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/ linkid=45331&clcid=409. Not sure if it still works, I haven't used it in ages.

Moved to C# IDE forum.
