Hi,

You could try building that DLL in v1.1 - It depends on what all features of v2.0 you have utilized..so if that shows up too many errors, you could wrap the DLL within a webservice and then call the webservice from .NET v1.1.

Hi,

This may be a lil stupid but here is what I understand from your reply

Create a wrapper web service ( in VS2005 ) for the dll in VS 2005.

And then refer that web service in VS 2003 project

Can you please explain more

Yes, that works...you can try a small sample for one method before you proceed...

I am afraid it does not work !

I created a ASP.net web service in VS2005 to access the VS2005 dll.

Now I can not refer this web service in my VS2003 application.

Am I doing it wrong

What is the parameter the webservice is taking Also, does the webservice work when you try to consume from a VS2005 application Web Service is based on standards and hence it is possible to consume the WSDL from VS2005 app in a VS2003 app.

I created a "File System" ASP.net webservice in VS2005. It has the default HelloWorld service.

I build it.

When I reference it in VS2005 solution it works fine

but when I reference it in the VS2003 application it says access denied ! !
