hi every one,

i want to make my program (with C#) run while windows starting up

i knew that i should put an .exe file in a folder startup , thats ok

now

i have two question

first: where is this folder exist (i am using windows xp)

second: there is another method by code achive this goal

C:\Documents and Settings\<username_here>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup is the location of the folder.

You can figure this out by right clicking on the folder from the Start menu and it shows the path.

Your other options for something that operates on startup is a windows scheduled task

An option for an application that can even startup before you 'login' to windows is a 'windows service'. You should google how to write one (something from codeproject), but one in c# is very easy to get setup, and you can even pause/stop/restart them... they also run in the 'background', so you may not be able to console.writeline, but should probably log data instea
