Hey,

I'm working on a project with C# using Windows Image Acquisition and it's getting thrown off some by the auto-exposure adjustment on my Lifecam VX-6000. The properties controls for the camera have a checkbox that lets you turn off the auto-exposure... except it's grayed out, so I can't uncheck it.

Is there any way to turn this off in my code

Thanks!

Chances are if the software cannot access it, neither could you programmatically. Try getting a different cam...the one you have may not support WIA.

I am currently doing multiple projects involving real-time image processing. For this purpose, the microsoft cams are the best ones around in my opinion. If it wasn't for the annoying automatic exposure that is...

I've tried getting support from Microsoft, but the product ID number is nowhere to be found and they don't seem to be reachable without one.

Too bad; I would have been very happy with one of their cams otherwise, and could have gotten them a large order for more..
