I have written a dll in C# that will be used over many applications. When this dll is referenced and used in a project, I want to require that certain methods are included in the project. I have searched google and MSDN for something like this but I haven't found anything. I think I might be searching for the wrong keywords.

Is there any way to do this

What do you mean when you say that you want the project to "include certain methods" Do you mean you want to require the application call certain methods in the DLL Do you mean that you want the project to define certain methods that are needed by the DLL (like callback methods)

I want the application to define certain methods that are needed by the DLL. I am assume what I am wanting to do is called a callback method

You can define interfaces in the dll assembly. And implement those in your project.

You can't force an assembly to implement specific methods, you can search an assembly for types that implement a specific interface...
