Hi all,

I think the new extension methods are extremely powerful and elegant IMO. I know there are also lots of people arguing about it.

What I wonder is, will there be any plans to allow programmers to extend static methods

It might look like this is unacceptable, but it would have the same cons and pros as instance extension methods, so I think that would be a very useful addition.

IMO this would eliminate having random function libraries for generic tasks. But I am not saying putting all kinds of specific, generic methods into extensions. Just the generic ones. Obviously this could be abused, but same thing can happen with instance extension methods.

Thanks alot,
Aw
