Hello every one,

I have just recently started coding away with C# and decided that this would be a suitable language to produce third year project for my degree course for various different reasons. I am still researching couple of ideas, was wondering if any of you bright people would kindly give me some ideas which will not only be a fun project to work on but something i can learn from.

p.s. I have a good understanding of OOP

Thanks in advance

How about writing a source-version-control-system Smile

what is the scope of such project

That is to be defined by yourself, and largely depends on how big your team is and how many years you have to complete it! Wink

Normally this would be me and only me, since third year university projects here in UK has to be undertaken by the student him/herself. Thanks for you idea, if anyone else has anymore

Strongly advise going the web route rather than winforms... everyone seems to want it. The trick here is to decide what industry you fancy i.e. banking and specifically code something to match that. Will help greatly with your career.

Well for my final project in college I wrote a distributed (No central server) chat/filesharing application that used a plugin architecture for extensibility, it was a lot of fun, it was a lot of work but it wasn't too bad. I built it in java but that is close enough to c# so it would definitly be doable.

If you go the web-route, you can have a lot of fun with web 2.0-like experiences like AJAX.

If you dont go to the web route, you can have lot of fun with WPF programming

"fun" and "web programming" in the same sentence, without using the prefix "not" Hmmm.
