Hello,

I developed a simple C# application to download a file from a website. After testing it, I gave it to a customer to help him download patches etc.. from my company's update site. Surprisingly, when he clicks the download button on the form, the C# application closes . Sometimes, it even closes when puts his mouse cursor on any part of the C# form. This is very bizarre to me!!!
My customer uses Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.0. He has the .NET runtime libraries installed on his PC.

I have tried the application on XP, 2003 server and even on 2000 machines in my office and the application works just fine. I even tried this outside my company's network and it works.

I just can't seem to understand what is happening
I am trying to analyze this from every angle and I can't make any sense out of this!!

Any ideas anyone Any anyone experiences this before Is this a machine specific problem Could this happen if one does not defragment their hard drives for a long time.

Any help is appreciated.

A. try to create Try Catch which saves the Errors to a file ...

The fact that the app seems to crash from different events, eg button click or mouseover, and inconsistent on different machines I would think indicates an external prob, not a coding error. Probably a corrupt installation of .NET or some other OS corruption.
