hi guys

we have a small issue with a dll written by one of our ex-programmers.

he left without giving the source code, he did gave us the dll. and the application isn't working.

is there a way to decompile that dll

You have a pretty bad issue with this programmer. This might be a great time to change your business policies.

Search google, lot's of them exists.

if the DLL is in .net, you could get the IL decompilation of the library, but other than that, it is extremely hard to reverse engineer a library, and you can't be certain that you returned to the code that you originally had.
