System requirements are really only key for games where specific cards and cpu horsepower is needed. They only put those warning on the software to dissuade the luddites who still have 386 machines not to buy there games so not to overwhelm tech support.

If you are writing a C# program, the only system requirement is a system that runs .Net. The system will handle any constraints of low memory etc. It is not a concern of your program, unless you are monitoring ports and the user has a bogged down machine. But that applies to all software created.

When .Net was released back in 2001/2002 here were the minimum requirements.

A 1 GHz or better Pentium with at least 256 Megs of RAM

Basically if a system can install .Net, it will work...albeit slowly on the above system. Take a look at what is required for the .Net installation of 3.0: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Redistributable Package which says

> Supported Operating Systems: Longhorn (Windows Code Name) ; Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1; Windows Vista; Windows XP Service Pack 2

You may want to check other .Net install packages if you are targetting different version.s
